Veterinary Students
BBEVS is a busy urban practice that treats exclusively avian species, reptiles and small mammals such as guinea pigs, rats and mice. Cases we see are predominately privately owned pets, although we occasionally see a small number of wildlife cases. Due to the nature of the species we work with, we see a high number of critical care patients. Their care is often very different from other species and in many instances they require experienced personnel to manage them. For veterinary students, this means that BBEVS has minimal practical experience compared to other fields. Please keep this in mind when considering your application. Note: Graduated veterinarians who would like to see practice at BBEVS, please contact us on (07) 3217 3533.
Veterinary Student ApplicationsAll prospective students must email their application along with a resume and cover letter to bbevs@hotmail.com. An interest in avian and exotic medicine is preferred. Please use the following calendar to ensure the requested start and end dates are available before submitting the application. NOTE: This calendar only shows the next 6 months of availability, beyond this the calendar will appear blank but placements are often booked >6 months in advance.
