This is a British qualification, which encompasses zoo animals, birds and exotic pets and wildlife. There are only 3 people in Australia with this qualification. DipECAMS signifies that Deborah is a Diplomate of the European College of Avian Medicine and Surgery, which is the European organization responsible for training and assessing veterinarians who wish to become avian specialists. Deborah achieved Membership of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in Avian Health in 1999. Although there are now a number of Members of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in Avian Health, Deborah is only the fifth person to have attained Fellowship level, improving on the initial qualification by becoming a Fellow of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists (Avian Health) in July 2006.
Alana Alana joined BBEVS at the beginning of March 2007 as a part time nurse but is now working full-time. On the pet front Alana has three rainbow lorikeets and a budgie to keep her busy outside working hours in addittion to drawing, netball and ebay!
Nikki Nikki joined BBEVS at the beginning of January 2008. On the pet front Nikki has a beautiful horse, is there room for anything else? You bet she has a feathered friend too!
